Mikael Johnston founder of the influential San Francisco house music act, and Warner Bros. Records Alumni “Mephisto Odyssey”, and co-founder of Dresden & Johnston, the Billboard top 10 charting electronic dance music production duo presents “The Swerve.” The Swerve is pensive, psychedelic dream pop, Shoegaze and indie electronica bliss.

Following their debut single “Wonder” the band which features Mikael Johnston, Jana Hanavan who’s vocals are a combination of twee pop meets Elizabeth Fraser and producer / engineer D1 who’s influences encompass everything from the psychedelic sounds of early Pink Floyd (Think Meddle) to the French pop and electronica sounds of Air, are ready to follow up with their next EP, “Taken Apart.”

Their latest release features four tracks; “Taken Apart”, “If Only”, “The Beach” and “Crimson Pool In The Shadow Of Night”, and embody a culmination of all three band members musical styles, ranging from 80s electro pop (think Human League meets Depeche Mode), 70s Italian GIALLO film music (ala Fabio Frizzi & Ennio Morricone) to the more modern sounds of indie projects like Class Actress, Tennis, I break Horses and Phantogram.
